Our Origin
InfoTrust was founded by Dane Meah and Simon McKay in 2014. From their combined experience within the cybersecurity industry, they identified that there was a gap in the delivery of security solutions to organisations. Many vendors and partners were offering a transactional relationship, with no added value or engagement model. But for many businesses, this is no longer enough, and the ROI of their security investments was not being recognised.
There are 2 main challenges that InfoTrust was created to help address for customers;
- Businesses would purchase multiple security solutions, attempt to force integrations, and manage them. The ROI of these products would more often than not, not be realised, and the level of security over time was diminished as the threat landscape evolved or their organisation’s needs changed.
- Many customers believed that moving from on-premise to SaaS would allow them to ‘set and forget’, due to not having a full understanding of the software or the provider’s obligations. However, as most CISO’s will tell you today, using ‘set and forget’ can be a very damaging and dangerous strategy.
