The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative to join our Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, initiating outbound outreach, and setting up meetings for our Account Executives. This is a key role in our sales pipeline, playing a critical part in driving revenue and expanding our market presence.
Working with the Sales and Marketing teams, you will define and execute a sales strategy that delivers revenue, business outcomes and ensures ongoing customer satisfaction.
The role has a direct pathway to becoming a BDM or Account Manager within the organisation, and you will be provided with ongoing training and enablement and professional development opportunities, to further your career.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to identify and qualify potential customers.
- Research and target ideal customer profiles using CRM tools, LinkedIn, industry databases, and other resources.
- Clearly communicate Infotrust's value proposition, particularly as it relates to cybersecurity risks and challenges.
- Schedule discovery calls and product demos for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, lead status, and follow-up tasks in CRM (eg, Dynamics).
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to align messaging and support campaign execution.
- Stay up to date on cybersecurity industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs.
- Meet or exceed monthly KPIs, including qualified leads, meetings booked, and conversion rates.
Key Competencies & Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or a similar customer-facing role (preferably
- cybersecurity, IT, or SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity challenges (eg, phishing, ransomware, compliance regulations).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Demonstrated confidence in customer interactions
- Proven experience and success in picking up the phone and calling prospective clients
- Prior experience of meeting sales quota desirable
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—both written and verbal.
- Strong research skills and ability to understand technical cybersecurity concepts at a high level.
- Experience using sales enablement tools (CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc).
- Comprehensive strategic plans created for all clients.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
