The Opportunity

As a Managed Services Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating multiple customer facing or internal projects with our clients and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of key projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring programs, managing clients and other stakeholders, and mitigating risks to achieve desired outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to drive collaboration across teams and deliver results within scope, budget, and timeline. Whilst this role is largely client project execution this may be across any of our brands and there may be related internal project management required to support new products and business processes.

You will work leading the Project Managers in the Secure Managed IT PMO and with Senior Leadership, Clients, Sales, Professional Services, Projects and other Operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Governance and Reporting
    • Follow and refine complex governance and reporting requirements within client programs of work
  • Provide clear, transparent reporting to stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party suppliers on key project metrics/outcomes.
  • Program Planning and Execution:
    • Develop client facing program plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with the proposed products and services
    • Participate in presales activities to ensure project management is accurately reflected and provide PMO sign off on deals that are defined as requiring approval
    • Drive efficiencies and improvements in project onboarding to improve profitability
    • Identify track and manage dependencies across the clients programs of work that impact the delivery of services
    • Ensure the delivery of projects is on forecast and financially on track with 3rd party costs and billing
    • Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations
    • Work with the technical teams to identify and manage any product development or internal processes requiring development to support the delivery of client outcomes
    • Manage internal resources to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and budget
    • Follow project governance structures, processes, and methodologies to guide program execution and decision-making.
  • Presales assistance:
    • Proactively identify and engage key stakeholders, including executives, sponsors, project teams, and external partners.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve program objectives and deliver high-quality results.
    • Provide thought leadership on managing client Managed Services projects and uplift processes and capabilities.
    • Define roles and responsibilities, and provide direction to team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
    • Identify program risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
    • Monitor program performance, track key metrics, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track and mitigate deviations from plan.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Establish quality standards, processes, and metrics to ensure deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations and internally agreed Spirit standards of compliance.
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of program deliverables, documentation, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure appropriate transition-in or handover of agreed deliverables and artefacts as defined by delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in program management, project management, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and programs.
  • Experience in the delivery of Managed Services professional services and software tools.
  • Experience in cyber professional services and software highly regarded
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prefer experience in a Managed Services environment implementing solutions for customers and managing their expectations and competing internal priorities.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, or ServiceNow.
  • Experience working in a client facing role highly regarded
