The Opportunity
The Cyber Security PMO Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing cyber security projects to ensure their successful delivery and alignment with organisational objectives. This position encompasses planning, execution, and monitoring of projects whilst fostering positive client relationships, managing stakeholder interactions, and mitigating risks to achieve desired outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational abilities, strategic communication skills, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline parameters. A commitment to delivering a seamless and high-quality customer experience across all assigned projects is integral to this role.
A primary function of the position is the expansion and success of the Cyber Security PMO domain, necessitating consistent monitoring, reporting, and insights to enable effective decision-making and deliver measurable impacts to customers.
Responsibilities
- Direct the full lifecycle of cyber security projects, from conceptualisation and planning to implementation and closure, ensuring alignment with both organisational goals and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain a robust resource allocation model to effectively address both immediate and long-term business requirements, while achieving utilisation and customer satisfaction targets.
- Provide analytical insights to support ongoing resource planning.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and budget analyses for presentation to stakeholders, ensuring prudent cost management and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate internal and external project initiation meetings, including the creation of agendas, documentation of Minutes and actionable items, and management of follow-ups to promote clear communication and progress tracking.
- Design and manage comprehensive project plans and timelines, tailored to meet project scope and budget constraints, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including plans, status updates, schedules, work hours, budget forecasts, and expenditures, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Provide support for escalation requests and address customer concerns as required, ensuring swift resolution.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Partner with the project Technical Lead to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget, whilst continuously monitoring progress and capturing updates.
- Manage relationships with third-party contractors and suppliers as necessary.
- Administer projects using ITSM tools, maintaining consistently high standards of project health and quality.
- Effectively engage stakeholders to achieve financial, customer, and delivery objectives whilst fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the PMO framework.
- Develop and implement PMO Service Level Agreements (SLAs) accompanied by key performance metrics and reporting standards.

Project Delivery Metrics
- On-Time Delivery Rate: % of projects completed on or before the scheduled deadline.
- Budget Adherence: % of projects delivered within approved budget.
- Scope Compliance: % of projects that meet original scope without significant change requests.
- Quality of Deliverables: Measured by defect rates, customer feedback, or post-project review scores
Stakeholder Satisfaction
- Stakeholder Approval Ratings: Feedback scores from sponsors, clients, and team members (e.g., via surveys).
- Issue Resolution Effectiveness: Average time to resolve key project issues or risks.
PMO Compliance & Standards
- Adherence to PMO Methodologies: % of projects following standard templates, gating processes, and documentation.
- Project Health Monitoring: Regular reporting of project status and early warning indicators across portfolio.
Team & Resource Management
- Resource Utilisation Efficiency: Optimisation of resource assignments across projects.
- Team Engagement & Retention: Low turnover among project staff; high engagement scores.
Strategic Impact
- Alignment with Business Goals: % of projects directly linked to strategic objectives or KPIs.
- Portfolio Value Delivery: Aggregate business value delivered (e.g., cost savings, revenue generation, process improvement).
Continous Improvement
- Lessons Learned Adoption Rate: % of projects incorporating prior lessons learned or best practices.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Number or impact of process optimisations led or contributed to by the PM
Key Compentencies & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is advantageous.
- Extensive practical experience utilising ServiceNow (SNOW) for project management.
- A minimum of eight years of industry experience, with at least four years in a supervisory or management capacity leading high-performing teams.
