We are seeking a self motivated, highly skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Brisbane. This role will be pivotal in supporting Infotrust sales process by providing expert guidance on cyber security solutions, with a strong emphasis on Infotrust grown services and related technologies.
The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, helping customers and prospects understand, evaluate, and adopt cyber security solutions aligned with their risk posture and operational needs.
Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager (Cyber), this role works closely with Infotrust Sales, Professional Services, and Product teams to design and communicate tailored cyber solutions. You will help drive new opportunities, enhance customer confidence, and contribute directly to business growth by aligning services and technical capabilities to customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
Sales & Technical Engagement
- Collaborate with Sales to understand customer requirements and develop tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Present and demonstrate Infotrust’s go-to-market strategy to prospects and existing clients.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for key vendors and technology partners.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs with clear, concise, and solution-oriented documentation.
- Architect comprehensive cybersecurity solutions using industry best practices and frameworks.
- Evaluate customer environments to align Infotrust services and cyber controls with business objectives.
- Recommend appropriate technologies and services across EDR, MDR, DLP, and other advanced threat detection domains.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cybersecurity strategy, architecture, and technical roadmaps.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and facilitate security workshops.
- Engage in solution scoping and planning in collaboration with delivery teams.
- Address technical objections and mitigate risks throughout the sales cycle.
- Ensure a seamless transition from technical sales to post-sales and implementation phases.
- Achieve and maintain range of key industry and vendor based certifications in designated technology areas and actively participate in ongoing enablement.
Internal Collaboration and Enablement
- Provide internal training to sales and delivery teams on cybersecurity trends and portfolio updates.
- Contribute to the refinement of go-to-market offerings, value propositions, and differentiators.
- Represent the organisation at industry events and client engagements as a subject matter expert.
Key Competencies & Experience:
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, technically competent with a track record of partnering with other groups within the sales and support organisation to close sales.
- Deep understanding of modern cyber security threats, architectures, and protective controls.
- Proven expertise in:
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
- Managed Detection and Response (MDR)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- SME-focused cyber security strategies
- Knowledge of industry frameworks: ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, Australian Government ISM.
- Strong knowledge of Mitre Att&ck framework.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking and layered security controls.
- Familiarity with security operations, including SIEM, SOC, and incident response capabilities.
- Understanding of IT service management practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Ability to communicate security risk in business terms to a range of stakeholders.
Skills:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a cybersecurity engineering or technical sales capacity.
- Demonstrated experience developing and presenting enterprise-level cyber solutions.
- Familiarity with current Australian regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and solution blueprints.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of enterprise sales cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical detail to non-technical audiences.
