The Enterprise Platforms and Systems Manager is accountable for the strategy, governance, architecture and performance of Infotrust’s core enterprise systems, with responsibility across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Azure-based integration middleware (Azure Functions).
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role provides end-to-end oversight of enterprise systems strategy, technical roadmap, investment prioritisation, delivery governance and operational effectiveness. The role leads a team of Business Analysts and Technical Leads, ensuring platforms are scalable, integrated, secure, well-governed and aligned to business strategy, operational outcomes and future growth.
This role requires strong enterprise architecture capability, practical technical understanding of modern SaaS platforms, Azure-based integrations using Azure functions, and Power BI-Data architecture, as well as the ability to lead people, vendors and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Systems Strategy and Roadmap
- Own and maintain the enterprise systems strategy and multi-year roadmap across Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure SQL and Azure-based integrations using Azure Functions.
- Translate enterprise and operating model strategy into clear system priorities, technical roadmap items and delivery sequencing.
- Ensure platforms support business growth, operational efficiency, customer experience, financial control, reporting maturity and regulatory obligations.
- Provide clear recommendations to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team on investment trade-offs, benefits, risks and priorities.
Enterprise Architecture and Technical Governance
- Own the target-state architecture across enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, reporting layers and platform boundaries.
- Provide architectural oversight across Dynamics 365 Sales CRM, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Customer Insights, ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure SQL and Azure integration services like Azure Functions.
- Ensure solution designs are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
- Prevent fragmented solutions, duplicated workflows, unmanaged customisations and unnecessary technical debt.
- Review and challenge technical designs from internal teams and external vendors to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Azure Integrations, Data and Reporting
- Own the strategy and governance for the Azure-based integration middleware layer, including Azure Functions.
- Establish standards for APIs, authentication, error handling, logging, monitoring, retries and support ownership.
- Ensure integrations across CRM, FinOps, ServiceNow, Customer Insights, Power BI and Azure SQL are reliable, secure and well documented.
- Own the strategic direction for enterprise data and reporting across Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Power BI.
- Improve data quality, reporting trust, semantic modelling and alignment to agreed business definitions.
Governance, Risk and Investment Oversight
- Establish and chair appropriate systems governance forums, including demand intake, prioritisation, roadmap review and change control.
- Ensure system changes are assessed against business value, cost, risk, complexity, architectural fit and operational impact.
- Maintain visibility of platform risks, vendor dependencies, technical debt and integration constraints.
- Ensure systems operate within agreed risk, security, compliance, privacy and architectural standards.
Delivery and Portfolio Oversight
- Oversee the enterprise systems delivery portfolio, ensuring initiatives are well-defined, prioritised and executed to plan.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure clear ownership, accountability and business outcomes.
- Ensure delivery teams understand cross-platform dependencies and avoid fragmented or duplicative solutions.
- Manage external implementation partners, vendors and support providers to ensure quality outcomes.
People Leadership and Capability
- Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and Technical Leads.
- Set clear expectations around stakeholder engagement, documentation quality, solution design, delivery discipline and support ownership.
- Build internal capability while effectively leveraging external vendors and delivery partners where required.
- Develop broad cross-platform understanding across the team while maintaining deep specialisation in key domains.
- Reduce single-person dependency through documentation, cross-training and knowledge sharing.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure platforms are stable, scalable, secure and fit for purpose.
- Drive continuous improvement through data quality, automation, reporting, user experience and process efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, integration reliability, technical debt, adoption and support trends.
- Ensure changes are properly tested, documented, communicated and transitioned into support.
Key Experience & Capabilities
Essential
- Senior leadership experience in enterprise systems, business platforms or enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated experience owning systems strategy, technical roadmap, governance and operational performance.
- Strong practical enterprise architecture and solution architecture experience across integrated SaaS platforms.
- Experience overseeing platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, CRM ecosystems, Power BI and SQL-based data platforms.
- Strong Azure-based integration experience, with Azure Functions experience considered critical.
- Strong SQL and data experience, including data warehouse concepts, data modelling, data quality and reporting layers.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, middleware, authentication, monitoring, error handling and support ownership.
- Proven ability to operate at Executive level, providing clear recommendations and managing competing priorities.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, demand management, change control and delivery oversight.
- Strong background leading Business Analysts, Technical Leads and external vendors.
- Strong commercial and risk mindset, with experience balancing value, cost, delivery risk and long-term maintainability.
