Sydney, Australia – [Tuesday 15th July 2025]— In a significant move set to bolster Australia’s cyber defence landscape, Infotrust, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cyber security services providers, is proud to announce the appointment of Jan Zeilinga GAICD, a highly respected Chief Information Security Officer and technology leader, to its executive leadership team.
Zeilinga brings over 25 years of enterprise expertise across the cyber security and information technology spectrum. He founded First Point Global, in November 2000 Australia’s first dedicated IDAM practice, which was acquired by KPMG in 2015.
Going on to serve as CTO, Cyber for KPMG, he subsequently held senior leadership roles, including manager of IAM at ING Australia and, most recently, CISO at James Cook University, where he built a reputation for implementing robust, strategic security programs and leading strategic initiatives that safeguard critical infrastructure and data assets.
Jan is renowned for his deep technical knowledge and visionary leadership, mentorship, and commitment to developing the next generation of cyber security professionals. This appointment marks a pivotal step in Infotrust's mission to deliver cutting-edge cyber security services, including Infotrust’s Australian 24/7SOC, incident response, digital forensics, and cyber resilience offerings across Australia’s enterprise and critical infrastructure sectors.
In his new role, Jan will oversee the strategic direction for several of the company's technical services divisions, working closely with customers to help shape, drive and implement their security strategies.
