Melbourne, Australia [23 February 2026] Infotrust Ltd (ASX: ITS) Australia's leading sovereign cyber security and technology services provider today announced the strategic divestment of its Cloud and Communications arm, Nexgen, making another significant milestone in the evolution towards becoming a dedicated cyber first managed security and digital forensics platform.
This divestment reflects a deliberate and forward-looking strategy to enhance the company's focus on sovereign cyber security capabilities at a time when Australian organisations face unprecedent cyber risk, regulatory scrutiny, and operation disruption.
“This transaction marks the completion of Infotrust’s strategic transformation into a focused, sovereign cyber security business. The divestment of Nexgen unlocks capital at an attractive multiple and allows us to redeploy that capital into higher-growth, higher-margin cyber security opportunities.” said Infotrust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Julian Challingsworth. “The capital realised from this divestment will enable us to accelerate potential acquisitions that are in our pipeline which will add to the capabilities and geographies that we serve across Australia.”
Over the past decade, the cyber threat landscape has intensified across Australia, with ransomware, supply chain compromise, and nation-state activity becoming board-level concerns. By divesting, its cloud and communication segment, Infotrust is streamlining operations and redeploying resources into 100% cyber-focused business comprising:
The Australian MSSP market continues to experience sustained growth as organisations shift from reactive IT outsourcing to proactive, intelligence-led security management. At the same time, investment in Australian cyber capability is accelerating, this key validation reinforces the scale of opportunity ahead for Infotrust and with its strategic realignment positions the organisation not simply to participate in this growth but to lead it.
“Our sovereign strategy ensures we strengthen national security, safeguard critical infrastructure, and remain resilient and strategically positioned to address evolving threats in an increasingly complex cyber landscape.” said Julian Challingsworth.
